Interview Update

So I tried to compile everyone's outfit advise, and here is how I looked right before the interview. Ann Taylor is my new favorite store, and I even got talked into opening an AT charge card just for the discount, but don't worry, I immediately paid it off right then, so I'll only have it for the coupons, I won't use it.

So I got to the school, which is brand new and very nice, a little early and waited in the hall chatting up the maintenance guys before the interview. They called me into a conference room, and two kindergarten teachers, two special ed teachers and the principal interviewed me. They started in with questions before giving me a rundown of the position or the school or anything, so that definitely threw me off, which was my only weak point in the interview. I mean, the first question was, how would you help students as a teacher's aide? And I had no idea what a teacher's aide at their school entails. Oh well, I tried my best, and even got them laughing, so at least there's that. Plus I had on my way great interview outfit! So I'll let everyone know when I hear from them, and if I don't get the job it won't be from lack of trying, it will be because there was someone more qualified, which I'm fine with.

Next up, test at the Library.

Boy I didn't realize how much that blazer makes me look like Chesty McChesterson, it's just the way I'm standing, I didn't look like that all through the interview

Katie, you look completely great, professional, and dressed appropriately for the job. Outstanding! I can see how you would do great in an interview - and that is truly about 90% of the battle.

I've got my fingers crossed, Chesty!

PS - I am wearing one of my several Ann Taylor suits right now. It is the best.
