New Name!

So it's official, I have the ID to prove it, my name is Katharine Ann Grafelman, and if you say it right, all three names rhyme. I got my new license yesterday, and it's the new Illinois style with a thousand holograms all over it, and it's red at the top and has two pictures of me on it! They are really unflattering pictures, or else I would post up a picture of it.

Tebben and I went to Columbus this weekend,and we both LOVE it! I'm hoping we'll be able to rent a house downtown, but it's looking more likely that we'll end up in an apartment complex first. I was pretty excited for the idea of apartment complexes until I got there and saw how far away from everything they are. There was one that's pretty close to the town, but it's crazy expensive, and you have to pay $30 a month extra for pets, and one thing I got from my mom, I have to have pets. It's also really hard to find anything because we aren't able to move until July or else we'll be paying double rent between our place in Urbana and where we'll be moving.

While we were in Columbus, Tebben went to his new National Guard Unit and got sworn in by the Lt. Col. to the Indiana National Guard. It's an airborne infantry unit, and Tebben is an assistant Intelligence officer. He gets to do all the neat infantry training, though. I think he is most excited for their unit patch. The outline is an arrow, it says "AIRBORNE" at the top, and it has both lightning bolts and a sword. One of the officers gave Tebben a window sticker of the patch for his Jeep, and I'll admit, it is pretty cool.
