That's so crazy! I can't believe the wedding is finally getting close! Even though I'm really really excited about the wedding, I think I might be even more excited that we finally have a plan for the rest of our lives! I'm still nervous to discuss any real details because I'm so scared it will fall through! But, to clue everyone in a bit, Tebben has been offered an Assistant S2 (apparently a fantastic position for a green as grass Lt.) slot in an Infantry Unit of the Indiana National Guard! As long as he transfers to Indiana before he graduates he won't owe a cent to the Illinois guard! He'll still be a Military Intelligence Officer, but since he'll be in an infantry unit, he gets to go to Ranger School as well as Airborne, and maybe even Pathfinders, which is really rare.
This unit is set to deploy most likely to Afganistan in 2011. I know I'll change my tune when 2011 rolls around, but right now Tebben has me convinced that his job will be very safe, and extra important because he'll be in charge of ensuring lots of other soldiers stay safe as well. Having active duty Military Intelligence Officer experience will also be fantastic for getting into the FBI or Secret Service like he's hoping to do! Hoohah! Or whatever soldiers say, you get the idea.
Anyway it's such a great great great opportunity and we are SO EXCITED!!!!
We're going to be moving to Columbus, IN this July. It's an hour away from Indianapolis (Cousins Didi and Wes live there), Cincinnati (Uncle Albert, Aunt Deborah, and Cousins Mary and Joe) and Louisville (I bet we have some kind of distant kin there). It's an adorable town, and the Lt. Col. already told Tebben there are even civilian jobs for me!

YIPEE!!! How extra great is it that Columbus is an awesome town, known for it's architecture, and not just any old place?!? I bet you'll be really happy there!
That is awesome, I am so happy for you. Life plans are awesome, maybe one day Nate, Ella and I will have one. Nate and I went to Columbus for a day once while we were living in Urbana, we made a day trip out of it, we really like the town.
I am so hoping your plans come true. I would so love to visit that cool Luis Sullivan town. Also we have had no live possoms in the house and Bruce Springsteen watched Chuck play at the Avatar studios in Midtown Manhattan and said "You play great, man" and Bob the cat is as good as new after his scary fever so life is great. I love you both, Auntie
