My elementary school gets out this Wednesday and I am very excited for the break. I'm bummed that it's two weeks I won't be working, but I'm more excited , I think. Today we are making gingerbread houses out of empty milk cartons and graham crackers, it's going to be so fun! All the kids are way excited for it. I hope they can behave, they were so bad last week that I canceled their pizza party we were going to throw on Friday. I never thought that I could be driven to cancel pizza, but I was, so you can imagine how bad they were. I had to write up about 10 conduct report sheets that week!
We had a very fun weekend again this weekend. Tebben's friend from high school came to visit, and he was our first overnight guest ever! We had a cookie swap party on Friday night, then on Saturday we went ice skating. The ice skating rink was decorated with Christmas trees in each corner and in the middle was a gazebo that Santa came out and sat in for pictures! So since there were Santa pictures going on, the rink was full of little girls in adorable Christmas outfits zipping around! I even met a few girls from my school, and they talked me through my first lap around "You can do it Miss Katie, just try and get to that spot, and if you make it, try to get to a further spot!" They were way better than me. Once I got the hang of it I had a great time, but poor Tebben's arm was really sore because I didn't let go of it once the whole time.
Yesterday we went to see movies, Tebben saw "I am Legend" while I saw "Alvin and the Chipmunks" (which I loved). It was our first time taking the Vibe out in the snow, and it was pretty pathetic. Our lot hadn't been cleared yet, and we had gotten 10 inches of snow over night. Our little car weighs NOTHING, so it couldn't go through it at all. Tebben had to push while I hit the gas, and we both reeked of gasoline after. Other than that, the car does fine while it is snowing and on the ice and everything. Tebben said he is going to get me some sandbags to keep in the front of the car so it's heavy enough to drive through snow. I'm not sure if he was serious about that or not, but I bet it wouldn't hurt anything!

Sandbags, chains, scrapers-- you should have it all!!
Did you guys put it in second gear?
I heard a piece on the A&theC movies on NPR - a ton of the animation was done in India. I know - VERY interesting.
