Libertyville Update!

Tebben had his Champaign Police Department written exam today. It was his first step towards making the police force, and he's such a smarty there's no way he didn't do fantastic. I hope that didn't jinx it! So since he couldn't come with for the drive, I decided to come up this morning instead of last night.

I got up to Libertyville at about noon and my Mom and I walked on over to see Auntie. Wendy was there taking wonderful care of her, she's a totally sweet best friend/nurse. She even chopped up canned peaches and muffins to look like a way fancy meal instead of well, canned peaches and a muffin. Although in the meal's defense, it was a raspberry-blueberry muffin my mom made--way delicious. Auntie is practically zipping around for someone who just came home! We hung out and chatted, but I need to remember to tell boring stories because it hurts to laugh! I didn't even think about that!

We all watched both Cubs games, which was extra exciting because Wendy is a total Cards fan, and everyone knows where Auntie and Dad stand as far as baseball. Tomorrow Matt is pumped to watch the Bears game with Auntie, and I think this weekend will involve more sports than I watch in a year!

There's even a wedding update brought about by this weekend! Wendy's daughter Bethany came up to Libertyville to visit, too, and she thinks she might be able to sing at the wedding!! She's still got some things to look into, but I'm going to email her all the info, and she'll see.

Also in wedding news, my mom and I are going to "Bride's Store"either tomorrow or next weekend. It's in an antique mall so we have no idea what it's going to be like, but we're both intrigued.

I'm really glad I got to come up this weekend, I feel a million times better now that I got to see Auntie and sit around at my mom and dad's where the frozen yogurt flows like water and a real mechanical dishwasher does all the dishes! I hope my peace of mind can give everyone else a little bit, too!

Totally jealous about watching the cubs and bears. They haven't been on out here much and when they have been, I've been working and can't watch them. Also way jealous about getting to hang out with Auntie and everybody. Christmas can't come soon enough.

I feel so incredibly better after reading your post - I was dying to hear from someone who had actually seen and hugged Auntie and knew she was okay. Eva is telling me everything Stu tells her, but he is of a generation above who still probably tries to make the younger generations feel better. At least that was the thought in my head. Thank you so much for all of the Auntie news!

Best of luck to Tebben!

I don't understand why you haven't asked me to sing at your wedding. Have you heard my rendition of Proud Mary? Apparently not, or I would be in there ahead of Wendy's daughter who isn't even related

Have you heard my Uncle Denny sing? Oh, he'd even be ahead of Dad. I will give him your cell phone number.
